Find out what you will learn:
In the first year of the bachelor's program, you choose one of the five main studios: Ceramics, Open Senses Lab, Painting, Sculpture & Installation, or Printmaking.
In the second year of the bachelor's program, you complement your path with minor studios that support your chosen main studio. While the bachelor's program focuses primarily on tradition, techniques, and visual language of one or more disciplines, and teaches you to take a critical position over time, the master's program focuses on developing a well-founded, individual discourse in an open-minded manner.
The main component of the master's program consists of developing a master's project in combination with a master's thesis. An introductory field experience gives you the opportunity to taste and actively participate in the arts landscape.
Minor Studios
From the second year of the bachelor's program, you have the opportunity to choose two minor studios; these are available in the five main studios as well as in the Glass studio. Thanks to the unique collaboration with GlazenHuis in Lommel, the Glass studio exposes you to high-level glass blowing and casting under the guidance of professional master blowers.
In the third year of the bachelor's program, there is also the "Art in the Open Space" assignment. Each year, we seek a different external location for a joint exhibition. This has resulted in projects in the Maas Valley and at the Asiat site in Vilvoorde, among others.
